A Silence Broken

We are members of the LDS Church dealing with SSA and we are living a happy life in the church. We have been silent for far too long and it is now time for us to speak our voices. There is good in the church and we want to share the goodness with you.

Will our voices break the silence of others? We sure hope so...

Thanks for letting me join the discussion! I hope that others in our situation will continue to stand up for what's right. Thanks again.

Oh, and Samuel. I didn't notice there were two authors on the blog!

I'm glad that you have decided to bring your voice into the arena! We can always use fresh new voices here. :)

Welcome. I hope you will find in the blogs what I found when I started my blog a few months ago- a safe outlet that will transform you into who you want to be.

I commend your recently broken silence!

Good luck,

Welcome to the blogworld! Hopefully it will be as helpful to you as it has been for me, as well.

It's always nice to see new people and realize that there are so many in our situation.

Abinadi,

Thank you for your testimony, your example of courage, and for honoring your covenants. There are indeed a number of us who feel as you do, and who lead happy lives in the Church.

There is an on-line forum for people like us, and you and your friends are welcome there any time. www.lds-ssa.org is a support group with over 200 members (we're listed on NorthStar as well). The format is a little different than a blog, but has a few distinct advantages (any member can start a thread, and there is private messaging). Its well moderated too - we hold closely to the standards and teachings of the Church.

It's nice to see others trying to do what we've been doing on the forum for the past few years. You made my day!

Thanks again,

Neal
